Dr Melissa Arnts, Osteopath
Melissa has been working as a passionate and progressive osteopath for more than ten years after graduating from Victoria University in 2013.
Throughout this time, she has embraced many opportunities to enhance her skill set through professional development training. In 2019, focusing on the areas of pregnancy, post-natal and pelvic health, Melissa completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health through the University of NSW. After this, she was lucky enough to complete training through the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute to assess and treat the pelvic floor. Melissa is one of only a small group of osteopaths in Australia who has completed this training in internal assessment of the pelvic floor and the treatment and management of pelvic health conditions.
In 2021 Melissa was selected to be a part of Osteopathy Australia’s Women’s Health Committee focusing on the development and progression of osteopathy in the areas of pregnancy, post-natal care, and pelvic health.
Melissa likes to take the time to take a step back and assess the whole picture when treating her patients. Her goal is to create a safe space for patients to tell their story and help them move better with less pain quickly. Melissa can utilise a firm or gentle approach and enjoys tailoring treatment to suit the individual patient.
When not at the clinic, you will find Melissa getting ‘chinos’ with her daughter, walking down at the beach or reminiscing the 2023 AFL grand final watching her beloved Magpies (but don’t hold this against her).
